BARI of New England
Welcome to BARI of New England! Formerly known as ‘The Bengali Association of Rhode Island and Southern Massachusetts’ (BARI), it is the oldest organization of Bengalees in Rhode Island. BARI of New England is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954 (or the corresponding provision of any future United States Internal Revenue Law).
The word ‘bari’ means home in Bangla and this organization strives to be a home away from home for all its members. BARI of New England is also deeply committed to fostering connections and building bridges between the Bengali community and the wider population of New England. By organizing cultural events like Durga Puja, Saraswati Puja, Bijoya and Poila Boishakh, BARI hopes to celebrate Bengali culture. Come join us in this celebration!
